Every unit of electricity your panels make is one you don't buy from your supplier. Pair them with a battery or a heat pump and you can run more of your home on your own power.

  • Get paid for your spare powerAs an MCS installer, we set you up for the Smart Export Guarantee, so your supplier pays you for what you export.
  • Made for North West weatherPanels run on daylight, not heat — they keep generating on bright, cloudy days too.
  • Built to lastQuality panels typically carry 25-year performance warranties.

Solar Questions

Thinking about solar?

Do I need planning permission?

Usually not. Most rooftop solar on houses counts as permitted development. Listed buildings, flats and homes in conservation areas can have extra rules — we'll check this for you at the survey.

Is solar worth it in the North West?

Yes. Panels generate from daylight rather than heat, so they still produce on bright, overcast days. Long summer days make up for shorter winter ones across the year.

How many panels will I need?

It depends on your roof space, which way it faces and how much electricity you use. We design every system around your actual usage, so you're not paying for panels you don't need.

Should I add a battery?

A battery lets you use your daytime solar in the evening, when most homes use the most power. It also lets you charge up on cheap overnight tariffs. We'll show you the numbers with and without one.

How do I get paid for the electricity I export?

Through the Smart Export Guarantee, which requires an MCS-certified install. We register your system and help you choose an export tariff with your supplier.

What maintenance do panels need?

Very little. Rain keeps them mostly clean, and the monitoring app tells you if output drops. We're on hand if anything needs checking.
